Appreciate the classics, gather famous people! From April 16th, at 3 pm every day, Shanghai Opera House's newly planned "Classic Broadcasting" and "Opera Ferris Wheel Weekend Guests" will be broadcast online on the Shanghai Opera House's WeChat video account and the official account of Station B.
At that time, opera masterpieces such as "The Wandering Dutchman", "The Girl in the Army", "Falstaff", "Turandot", "The Kingdom of Smiles", "The Country Knight" and "The Harlequin" will be available to the audience one after another. Wei Song, He Hui, Shi Yijie, Shen Yang, Sun Li and other famous opera artists will also share their insights on opera in succession.

In the "Classic Broadcasting" section, Shanghai Opera House will select a number of classic operas co-produced with international famous troupes for exhibition.
Among them, Wagner's "The Wandering Dutchman" was invited to perform at the Erft Theater in Germany; Donizetti's "Girl in the Army" assembled the main creative teams of China and France, and invited many internationally renowned singers to participate; Verdi's "Girl in the Army" The main creative team of Falstaff includes Chinese, British, Italian, Spanish, American and other multi-national staff.
At the same time, "Turandot" starring He Hui, "Smile Kingdom" starring Shi Yijie, and the full versions of "Country Knight" and "Harlequin" starring He Hui will also meet the audience.
Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony", which first appeared in the "Classic Broadcast" section, comes from the opening concert of the "Shanghai Spring" International Music Festival in 2021. It is a collaborative version of the Shanghai Opera Choir and the Orchestre de Paris.
Conductor Xu Zhong extended an invitation to the Orchestre de Paris to perform world-famous pieces with the Shanghai Opera Choir. Under the baton of Quentin Hindley, the Orchestre de Paris performed at the Paris Philharmonic Hall, and under the baton of young conductor Zhang Chengjie, the Shanghai Opera Chorus sang at the Shanghai Grand Theater.
