    Huang Shuqin joined the Shanghai Film Studio in 1964. In 1979, he served as the assistant director in the film "Ah, Cradle" by Xie Jin. In 1981, he made his film debut "Contemporary People". In 1984, the independent director's film "Long Live Youth" won the Tashkent International Film Festival Memorial Award in the Soviet Union. The film "Friends of Childhood" directed in 1985 won the first China Children's Film Tong Niu Award. In 1987, she wrote and directed the "feminist film" "Human and Ghost", which won the Golden Bird Award at the 5th Brasilia International Film and Video Festival in 1988; Festival Public Awards. The TV series "Besieged City" directed in 1991 won the second prize of the 11th China TV Drama Feitian Award for long-form TV dramas.
