World Book Day | Open the visual notes of photography masters and drift in fantasy in the book of the world

After staying at home for a long time, I feel more and more that the outside world is very beautiful. Recently, some people who have been quarantined at home have posted photos of their previous travels, either an unforgettable scenic spot, a walk with a loved one, or a time "free as the wind". Under the repeated epidemics, showing photos of travel has become a window for people to let go of their souls.
If the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page (The World is a bookend those who do not travel read only a page - St. Augustine). Photography, then, is the soul of travel, where photographers take fragments from linear time and turn them into another form of eternity. Another year of World Book Day (April 23) is here. Home isolation restricts movement space, but makes reading time more abundant. Open the travel visual notes of the photographer and go to places that cannot be reached temporarily. We start our own fantasy drifting in the book of the world. "Crossing Siberia"

Louis Vuitton's "Fashion Eye" this spring launched two series of photobooks: "Cordoba" by MILES ALDRIDGE and "Through Siberia" by COCO CAPITAN. In keeping with the creative tradition of the series, each photobook focuses on a country, region, city or location, and is interpreted and interpreted from a personal perspective by fashion photographers. The content of the series transforms according to the destination: there are urban panoramas, natural scenery, human emotions and thought-provoking works; there are black and white photos and color photos. Each album features large-format photographs, along with biography of the photographer, interviews or commentary.
British photographer Miles Aldridge was born in 1964 and lives in London. He had the privilege of working with Tim Walker, one of the most legendary fashion photographers of the 21st century, to create a photographic approach inspired by art history and popular culture. Inside "Cordoba"

    Inside "Cordoba"

Miles Aldridge first arrived in Córdoba in 1989, just in time for Semana Santa. The experience left a deep impression on Aldridge, who was still a student at the time, and he still has vivid memories of the sights, sounds and smells after so many years. Since then, he has returned to Córdoba from time to time to relive that special moment. In this collection of Fashion Eyes, Miles Aldridge revisits his first impressions of Holy Week, drawing inspiration from the life and writings of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. Inside "Cordoba"

    Inside "Cordoba"

In Fashion Eyes, Miles Aldridge looks at Cordoba from a highly personal perspective, drawing inspiration from his own explorations and obsession with religious art, ditching the psychedelic colour aesthetic that made him famous. He specifically chose to shoot with a Leica camera that was good at using ambient light. Political, religious, domestic and popular works intertwine with surreal elements to create a rich sensory experience. Maison Assouline Bookshop, London
