For 30 years, the beloved Comrade Zhou Enlai and many revolutionary leaders have been caring and cultivating Beijing people and art. He personally visited the actors’ performances. Dormitory, caring for their lives. Most importantly, he asked us to continue to contribute to the cultural life of the workers, peasants and soldiers, and often go on to perform. We must never forget that the people are our parents. We must let the audience know that all truth, goodness and beauty are strengthened. Our sense of social responsibility to the people."
Today, 40 years after the publication of this preface, Ren Ming, the president of Beijing Renyi, wrote in the "Preface to the Commemorative Book of the 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Academy": "Beijing Renyi is a theater for the 'people'. "People's Art" runs through Renyi's 70 years
The four words "people's art" have been used throughout the seventy years of Beijing Renyi.
It is first reflected in the dramatic art that Beijing Renyi constructs belongs to Chinese national culture and aesthetics, and constructs a dramatic art system that conforms to the living habits and aesthetic characteristics of the Chinese people. Whether its stories are Chinese or foreign, contemporary or ancient, Chinese audiences can always see their own shadows in these stories, and comprehend and reflect on life from these "shadows".
People can see the cause and effect and impermanence of life from Thunderstorm, the life of the old Chinese market from Teahouse, the new life brought to the toiling masses by New China from Longxugou, and from "Cai Wenji" can see the charm of traditional Chinese art; people can also see the wisdom and resistance of the bottom people from "Aesop", and can see the snobbery and hypocrisy of the upper-class people from "The Lady Returns" ... These works are both epochal and transcending, both regional and transcending.
Build a drama system that suits the common people
Constructing a drama art and drama system on the Chinese stage that suits the appetite of the Chinese people is not just achieved by scripts and theories. In Beijing Renyi, generations of art workers know how to go deep into life and experience life. They go into factories and villages to understand, observe and experience life that they do not understand. Through the study and exchange of workers from all walks of life, I have learned the three words "human world" in my own academic accent.
In the era of "Guo Lao Cao", actors would learn from Guo Moruo, Lao She, and Cao Yu, and why didn't "Guo Lao Cao" not listen to the actors? In the early days of reform and opening up, because of a new script, the vice president invited guests and toasted the screenwriter Guo Qihong.
