    In 1966, the troupe was forced to disband. In 1978, under the guidance of the party's "Double Hundred Policy", the Shanghai People's Burlesque Troupe was re-established, with the former Dagong Burlesque Troupe as the main body. Although the name has changed, the core is still Shanghai style, funny art. In 2018, the Shanghai People's Burlesque Troupe and the Shanghai Qingyi Burlesque Troupe merged and reorganized, and established the Shanghai One-legged Art Heritage Center. The troupe has also entered a new stage of development.
    Three performances show the troupe's 70 years of artistic development and inheritance
    On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the troupe and the nearly 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Heritage Center, the Shanghai One-legged Art Heritage Center (Shanghai People's Burlesque Troupe) launched three performances in the performance season of Shanghai Tianchan Yifu Stage.

    On August 20th, the "Sounds to the Ear - Funny Works Exhibition" focused more on the national intangible cultural heritage project "One-legged Show". There are traditional jokes and new creations, which are the result of the intertwining of local dialects and comic art in Shanghai, and they are also light-hearted jokes close to life. The whole performance will be brought together by burlesque artists and outstanding young actors to demonstrate the inheritance of the art of "one-legged show" from generation to generation.
    On August 21st and 22nd, the newly created burlesque "The Voice of Shanghai", the whole play shows the generational changes of several ordinary families in Shanghai's small alleys.
