The premise of our story is that every civilization in the universe needs to be supported by powerful energy, so that civilization can enter the next level. What I hope to do is a sci-fi work that is familiar to Chinese people and has a Chinese warmth, and can combine the futuristic sense of things that we feel intimacy in our daily life.
We tried many different styles, and finally we settled on the old Beijing around us. I have lived in Beijing for more than 20 years and have a deep love for Beijing city. I wanted to simply incorporate the scenes in my life into this sci-fi theme, and it took me a long time to travel to various places to study the Beijing Hutongs, the streets and architectural styles that are very popular.
