After more than three months of online competitions, on July 27, the organizers announced the finalists. A total of 15 players advanced from the semifinals to the finals.
Since its official launch in early April this year, nearly 1,000 players have signed up for this global online competition. In order to allow more fans to participate, the organizers especially emphasized that "the living room is the stage", no matter where you are, you can participate in the competition by picking up your mobile phone and recording an audio or video for uploading. Therefore, the players in this competition are particularly young and global. Among the contestants, the youngest is only 5 years old, and the eldest is close to 80 years old. Young contestants account for the vast majority, and contestants generally have high education, high singing level, and high enthusiasm for drama. As a "global" competition, the geographic scope of this competition also surprised them. The contestants came from almost all over the world, covering 29 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and special administrative regions across the country. There are also contestants from more than a dozen countries and regions overseas. Participating, including overseas Chinese from Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, France, the United States, Japan, Italy, Germany and other countries.
In the semi-final stage, several children who participated in the competition were very eye-catching. 5-year-old Cao Qingyu is the youngest player to participate in this competition. He has only been studying Yue Opera for half a year. During the anti-epidemic period at home, Xiao Qingyu, with the help of her mother, recorded an excerpt from the competition program "Daiyu Burial Flowers" in her living room. There were no flower hoes and flower baskets at home, and the little "Daiyu" made materials on the spot - using brooms and moon cakes The box is replaced, and the performance is full of cuteness without losing the standard, which makes the judges praise.

In addition to participating in the competition, Bei Ziyue's biggest wish is to be admitted to a professional Yue Opera troupe in the future.

He also participated in the Shanghai Yue Opera Theatre's actor recruitment examination. Ji Wanfang, who failed to become a professional actor as he wished, later became a French translator, but his original intention of loving Yue Opera remained unchanged. Even the promotional audio for introducing Yue Opera to foreign friends was recorded in French. And this time, his competition program is to use eight genres to perform "Rooftop Party", and the special sound is very similar to the effect of an old record.
Among the many contestants, Zhu Xuna from Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province is an out-and-out internet expert who often performs live on internet platforms and has a very large number of fans. Since childhood, he was haunted and fascinated by the singing voices of Yue Opera "Dream of Red Mansions", "Liang Zhu", "He Wenxiu" and "Jasper Hairpin". He began to participate in singing competitions at the age of 6. But many people don't know that this girl who has loved Yue Opera since she was a child is blind, and she is also the first undergraduate student majoring in vocal music out of the Zhejiang School for the Blind. She said that although she cannot perform body performances because her eyes cannot see, she can still sing operas. For her, participating in the competition can not only get comments from professional teachers, but also make more friends and help her sing better. These are the biggest gains of her competition.
