On December 22, Beijing time, the 95th Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, or the Academy Awards, announced the short list of nominations for the top ten awards.

In the short list of the best international films, films from 15 countries and regions were nominated, including the South Korean film "Determination to Break Up".

Director Park Chan-wook won the Best Director Award in the main competition unit of this year's Cannes Film Festival for "The Determination to Break Up". The Chinese actress Tang Wei who starred in the film won many important awards in South Korea, including the Blue Dragon Award for Best Actress in South Korea.
