On February 14, the "2023 Silk Road TV Community Summit Forum" sponsored by China Central Radio and Television Corporation and undertaken by China International Television Corporation was held in Beijing.

With the theme of "joint hands in development, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation", this forum will promote the media of countries along the "Belt and Road" to achieve higher-quality Silk Road cooperation, deepen cultural exchanges, and promote people-to-people exchanges. More than 120 representatives from 54 mainstream media organizations from 33 countries and regions participated in the conference through a combination of online and offline methods.

"Building Things" from China won the special award of "Golden Ribbon-Silk Road Image School" this year, Japan's "Ping Pong Life", Iran's "From Mwaka Kogwa Festival to Nowruz Festival", Nepal Five works including "Mwakegu-Eternal Vitality" and "Home in China Shunde" and "Sunrise" from China won the annual excellent proposal.

The person in charge of China International Television Corporation released the annual report on the work of the Silk Road TV Community. This forum was divided into three major themes, and a total of 11 key cooperation projects were released. The theme of "Silk Road Road Walking Together" released a large-scale documentary "Walk Together", the launch of the national channel along the "Belt and Road" of the Great Wall platform, the international co-production documentary "From the Global Village" and the global promotion project of "Good Food (Season 3)" ;The theme of "Charming Universe·Win-win Cooperation" released the Sino-US co-produced documentary "Mirror China", the Sino-Thai co-produced cartoon "Panda and the Little White Elephant", the Sino-French co-produced documentary "China's Qinling Mountains, Memories of a Golden Monkey" and documentaries "Meeting the Most Extreme China" (International Edition) co-production and joint broadcast project; the theme of "Technology Empowerment and Convergence Communication" released the application and promotion of 3D Jingcai sound industry standards, and the name of China Central Radio and Television's ultra-high-definition demonstration park——CCTV World and the project "Overview of International Media Groups and Famous TV Channels".

As a special part of this forum, the "Unity and Cooperation Common Development" Silk Road TV Community Think Tank Activity and the "Smart Media New Service" technology sub-forum invite community and domestic and foreign think tank experts, media technical experts and scholars to focus on " The two themes of "New Opportunities for Media Cooperation under the Global Development Initiative" and "Innovation and Application of Media Technology" shared views and insights.

After 7 years of construction, the Silk Road Television Community has now grown to 143 institutions in 63 countries and regions as members and partners, achieving full coverage in G7 countries, 85% coverage in G20 countries, and universal coverage in countries along the "Belt and Road". As a normalized and professionalized dialogue and cooperation platform for the media from countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” to carry out international film and television cooperation, this summit forum focused on the further cohesion and development of the Silk Road media. Think tank construction and other fields have achieved fruitful results in interconnection, mutual benefit and win-win results.

Participants said that the Silk Road TV community is very important to expand international cooperation among media and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. The "Belt and Road" initiative requires strong media cooperation and communication. All members will work together to promote the development of a cross-border community, enhance mutual understanding between different countries and nations, and convey the beautiful vision of human beings for harmonious development.
