Five years after Wu Yigong, Xie Jin and many other directors first put forward the idea that "China should also hold an international film festival", in October 1993, the first Shanghai International Film Festival was held as expected. Now every film festival, thousands of high-quality films from home and abroad actively sign up to participate in the exhibition, which has already made the dreams of the "pioneers" come true.

We have never forgotten the great wish we once made: May the film festival accommodate the carnival of movie fans and become a festival for the people. Every time, Shanghai, which is brightly lit and radiant, is a paradise for movie lovers. Even when rushing frantically between different movie theaters, under the sweat-drenched shirt, what flows is full of happiness and thoughts.
