The ultra-high-definition 8K ecological and humanistic documentary "Wuyi Mountain·Our National Park" is directed by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, co-produced by Shanghai Radio and Television and Fujian Radio, Film and Television Group, and jointly produced by Shanghai Radio and Television Technology Center and BesTV. It will be jointly launched on Dragon TV and Southeast TV on December 12, 2023, and will be broadcast simultaneously on the big screen of BesTV TV. This film is a key project of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television to "Record the New Era" and is also a key documentary topic planning project of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television during the "14th Five-Year Plan".

"Wuyi Mountain·Our National Park" is the second part of the "Our National Park" series of ecological and humanistic documentary IPs created by the Shanghai Radio and Television Documentary Center. The first "Qinghai Our National Park" was broadcast in 2021 and was widely praised and won many domestic and foreign awards. At this year's first China Documentary Conference, the third part of "Our National Parks" was officially released.
As the “crown jewel” of beautiful China, national parks are the most important part of the natural ecosystem, with the most unique natural landscapes, the most essential natural heritage, and the richest biodiversity.
Wuyishan National Park is the only national park in my country that has joined the World Organization for Man and the Biosphere and is a world cultural and natural heritage. "Wuyi Mountain Our National Park" is divided into three episodes, each of 45 minutes, which not only shows the beauty of nature, but also highlights the light of humanity, and tells a moving story of the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

The first episode, "Landscape", shows the beautiful natural environment of Wuyishan National Park, which is a scenic spot of red mountains and clear waters, blessing all living things.
The second episode, "All Living Things," focuses on the rare animals and plants in Wuyishan National Park, which is the "window to the world's creatures," "the paradise of birds, the kingdom of snakes, and the world of insects," and "the key to studying Asian amphibians and reptiles."
In the third episode "Original Way", Wuyi Mountain is the birthplace of black tea and oolong tea in the world. Between the mountains and rivers, the brilliance of humanities reflects ancient and modern times at home and abroad.
It is understood that the "Wang Shuo Studio" under the Shanghai Radio and Television Documentary Center and the documentary directors of the Fujian Radio, Film and Television Group completed the production of all three episodes after a year of filming.

The main creative team photographed the new species "Tiny Mushroom" discovered in Wuyishan National Park in 2022, and the new species "Wuyishan Orchid" discovered in 2021; at the same time, the film also presents many rare animals and plants, including the ancient relic plant Goose Catalpa palm, southern hemlock, pangolin, yellow-bellied pheasant, golden-armed beetle, eagle owl, etc., national first- or second-level protected animals, as well as the unique Chinese species named after Wuyi Mountain as the model origin - Wuyi giant-legged mantis and hanging mantis. Since China announced the establishment of the first five national parks in 2021, what exactly do China's national parks look like? The film not only shows natural scenery and rare animals and plants, but also reflects on the inner relationship between landscapes, animals and plants, and human beings through the stories of ordinary individuals.
The local residents living in the national park rely on nature and at the same time protect the green mountains and green waters. For example, Ji Houjun, a ranger at Yangzhuang Management Station of Wuyishan National Park, whose father was the earliest ranger after Wuyishan was established as one of the first national nature reserves in 1979. In November 2022, the pilot episode (30 minutes) of "Wuyi Mountain Our National Park" was broadcast and achieved good broadcast results. In December 2022, the second phase of the fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15-2) was held in Montreal, Canada. During the meeting, the French subtitled version of the pilot chapter of "Wuyi Mountain Our National Park" was released It was screened locally and received great recognition from the local people. The pilot also won the "Best TV Documentary" award at the China-Canada International Film Festival, the "Best Natural History/Wildlife Program" nomination at the Asian Television Awards, and the "Ten Outstanding Works of the 29th China Documentary Shorts".
This series will show the charm of Wuyishan National Park in a more panoramic manner, as well as new achievements in the construction of ecological civilization. The film will also be dubbed into multiple languages and disseminated internationally to show the beauty of China to the world and China's plan and wisdom to participate in building a community of life on earth.
