On December 14 last year, “@电影酱园弄” posted an official announcement to announce the start of filming.

Earlier this year, the film "Jiangyuan Lane" directed by Chen Kexin was filmed on Zhapu Road (Wujin Road-Haining Road section) in Hongkou District. The distressed walls, old-fashioned signs and retro posters made people feel as if they had traveled back to old Shanghai. Citizens and tourists flocked there to take photos and check in, which also sparked discussions about urban renewal.

On March 31, at the 12th North Bund Wealth and Culture Forum, Chen Kexin gave a keynote speech, saying that the filming of "Jiangyuan Lane" received all-round support from Shanghai, especially the support of the Hongkou District Government. "I must sincerely thank Hongkou District for helping us realize a dream that no filmmaker dares to dream. We were able to restore the appearance of old Shanghai in 1945 at the T-junction and two streets in the city center. This kind of thing is unheard of. Whether in Shanghai, China, or any other city in the world, it is difficult to shoot a movie in the city center and restore its appearance."
