The first release of 20 red films in three major sections
As one of the key municipal projects of Shanghai's "Glorious City" Red Culture Season, at the launching ceremony, a list of 20 red-themed films covering three major sections, namely literary and artistic films, social education, and ideological and political research, were simultaneously released, officially kicking off a three-month "Red Film" screening season, which aims to fully tap red cultural resources, carefully plan and launch various red-themed films, and meet the differentiated needs of various audiences. The list includes not only revolutionary historical films such as "Shuangshan Sniper Battle", "Bloody Dabie Mountains", and "Crossing the Yalu River", but also realistic masterpieces such as "Fearless", "Hunting and Slaughtering", and "Never Compromise", as well as masterpieces reflecting heroic figures from different periods such as "Heroic Ruolan", "King of the Sky", and "Flame Guardian", so that rural people can enrich their spiritual and cultural life and inspire patriotic enthusiasm while enjoying a visual feast.
"From June to August, we will rely on rural theaters to deliver a number of outstanding red-themed movies in recent years to more than 1,500 rural digital film screening points and mobile screening points across the city. We plan to screen 5,000 movies free of charge for audiences in rural areas across the city. We hope to promote the implementation of the red culture inheritance and promotion project of the 'Birthplace of the Party' with high quality through this popular way," said a staff member of the Shanghai Municipal Film Administration.
The city’s first new rural film screening demonstration site starts commercial screenings
As the lights in the theater gradually dimmed, the premiere of Shanghai's "Glorious City" rural public welfare digital film "Red Film" screening season, "I am Your Hero", shone on the big screen. This was also the first commercial screening of the "Baihua Cinema" in Jianxin Village, Pujiang Town, Minhang District. It is reported that "Baihua Cinema", as the city's first commercially operated new rural film screening demonstration site, will enable rural people to watch the latest commercial blockbusters "first round synchronously" at their doorstep.

"I have watched public welfare films here before. The sound effects and pictures are not inferior to those in commercial cinemas in the city. Now even the films can be synchronized. It's amazing!" Ms. Hua, a villager in Jianxin Village, said excitedly that in the future she can come to the cinema often to watch commercial blockbusters.
It is worth mentioning that the scene also showed the audience how to use the Tao Piao Piao APP platform to submit orders online through a Vlog with pictures and texts - "Xiezhi takes you to the movies" and a Shanghainese nursery rhyme "Watching movies in a civilized manner", and advocated a new trend of civilized movie watching in the theater. "On the basis of daily scheduling, the theater will also send public welfare tickets to model workers, police, medical staff, representatives of new-era urban builders, etc., to care for caring people and vulnerable groups with practical actions. In addition, we will also launch a number of preferential measures and benefits such as movie viewing discounts and package reductions from time to time, hoping to attract more villagers to watch movies." The person in charge of the theater introduced.
It is reported that at the launching ceremony, new rural film screening demonstration sites in Zhuanqiao Town, Xinzhuang Town, Hongqiao Town and Meilun Town were collectively awarded plaques.
