The filmmakers' efforts can be seen in the scene settings. At the beginning, Daniel Wu and Liu Haoran transformed into ticket inspectors in "old movies" on the big screen. Movie tickets contain codes that transcend time and space. The journey of time is long, and the charm of light and shadow lasts forever. When a small movie ticket is passed from the hands of Daniel Wu on the big screen to the hands of the host Deng Chao, a dream movie journey across time and space officially begins.

Every movie ticket is a gift from the movie to the audience, and also a sincere heart from the filmmakers.

This year's ceremony started with a lively atmosphere, with four Golden Goblet winners making funny moves. The jury led by Chen Yingxiong appeared at the opening ceremony. As this year's chairman, he mentioned in his speech that film is a bridge connecting the past and the future. He encouraged everyone to stay away from the troubles of life during the film festival, immerse themselves in the world of film, laugh and cry to their heart's content, and experience a journey of emotions.

Starting from the glorious history of the birthplace of Chinese film, the opening ceremony of the film festival also led filmmakers around the world to look forward to the future. Director Tong Jili brought a young Jackie Chan created with AI technology. The handsome and tough image of the young Jackie Chan and the older brother who is over 70 years old were in the same frame, and they discussed "the future has come" with the audience.

Filmmaker Zhang Mo shared with the guests more than 700 images of Nezha generated by ordinary people using AI. "AI is no longer an ivory tower, making technological innovation closely related to everyone." She talked about being a creator, "We will never forget that story is the basis, and technology is always for the service of people. I think every one of us filmmakers is full of awe for the film itself, and even more respect for every audience. I look forward to the fragrant and fertile soil of the Chinese film industry, welcoming more dreamers of the new era."

“Radio waves” are timeless and never disappear

After the opening ceremony, the dance drama film "The Eternal Wave" was officially unveiled as this year's opening film.

"The Eternal Wave" is adapted from the original dance drama of the same name by the Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe. This well-known story takes place on the eve of the liberation of Shanghai. It is based on the true story of the martyr Li Bai and is a city business card incubated by the red cultural genes of Shanghai.

The dance drama adapted from a classic old movie and then returned to the movie, spanning more than half a century, has renewed its story expression three times, and its unchanged spirit and core remain fresh over time. The modern interpretation of the dance drama has given the characters a more contemporary expression, and the movie uses a variety of lens languages to enrich the information that is difficult for the audience to capture on the stage.

In this dance drama film, the director not only retains the main presentation of the stage performance, but also adds many creative treatments to break the fourth wall. The filming was taken at the Chedun Film and Television Base, and the LED virtual studio was used. The scenes of the Shanghai International Dance Center theater and the rehearsal hall environment were selected to allow the characters to intersperse between the virtual and the real.

At the opening ceremony, director Zheng Dasheng described the film as "without words, without a word". As a local filmmaker who grew up in Shanghai, Zheng Dasheng said, "This city, drama, and film have been integrated into every aspect of life, sometimes even difficult to detect." This time, he also hopes to explore more possibilities through the combination of different art forms.

    Zheng Dasheng made a speech

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Shanghai. The city has not forgotten the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of Shanghai. Zheng Dasheng believes that "in any era, revolutionaries are the bravest pioneers and the most sacrificial rebels. Their heroic legends are certainly worth telling, passing on, and re-interpreting by generations."

A moving scene at the opening ceremony was when Mr. Li Kangjiang, a colleague of the 97-year-old martyr Li Bai, emotionally recounted in a video how he received the telegram saying "goodbye" at 2 a.m. He tapped his fingers to greet his old friend, "The movie is about to be shown, I am very happy, I want to send a telegram to tell Li Bai: Dear Comrade Li Bai, we miss you very much."
