The 27th Conan theatrical version of "Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagon" has been officially announced to be released on August 16, and a hand-painted poster by Gosho Aoyama has been released, with many popular characters making their debut.

The film is directed by Tomoka Nagaoka, and stars Minami Takayama, Wakana Yamazaki, Rikiya Koyama, Kappei Yamaguchi, Ryo Horikawa, Yuko Miyamura, Yo Oizumi, Kenichi Ogata, Yukiko Iwai, Wataru Takagi, Ikue Otani, and Megumi Hayashibara.

It is reported that the film has raked in more than 15.5 billion yen at the box office, ranking among the top 15 box office hits in Japanese film history and breaking the Japanese box office record for the series.

Previously, the film was screened during this year's Shanghai International Film Festival. Tickets were hard to come by at the time, and were even sold for thousands of yuan each in the scalper market.
