My Friend Andre received the Best Artistic Contribution Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Director Dong Zijian took the stage to express his gratitude: "I want to thank my closest friend, my film's lead actor Liu Haoran. I appreciate my friends who shared this significant journey of memories with me. This journey may have obscured the feelings of longing and thoughts, but the sun will eventually shine and the snow will melt. We all still have the chance to become the person we wish to be. I will continue making films because that’s the version of myself that I love."
