Gala highlights: CCTV's "2025 Spring Festival Opera Gala" is themed "Prosperous Pear Garden and Splendid Mountains and Rivers". It goes to the historical and cultural city of Taiyuan, Shanxi. Relying on the colorful opera culture and profound historical heritage, the stage is built between pavilions and towers in the ancient county of Taiyuan, Shanxi. By "borrowing scenery", the gala stage is extended from the ancient county to the bustling streets of Taiyuan, forming a stage pattern of "operas between towers, one step at a time", which sets off the festive New Year atmosphere.
This year's Spring Festival Opera Gala brought together nearly 80 art groups and more than 30 opera genres from across the country, bringing together more than 100 famous artists, new generation inheritors, and cross-border actors and singers. The multimedia visual program "Vivid Colors" uses technical means to "awaken" the precious national treasures such as the Jin Dynasty Opera Figurines and Jinhou Bird Zun in the Shanxi Museum, making the cultural relics in the museum "alive" and presenting a fantasy journey through time and space on the ancient stage of Jin Temple. The innovative stage play "My Grand View Garden" starring Chen Lijun and Li Yunxiao was first released online. The play uses film language to show the "panoramic multi-dimensional space" of Yue Opera and leads the audience back to the Grand View Garden of Dream of Red Mansions.
