On February 19, Wang Weizhong, the "variety show godfather" in Taiwan who had promoted and trained the Big S sisters, published a long article titled "The Superwoman's Smile Back" to mourn Big S Xu Xiyuan.
The article begins by mentioning the animated film The Incredibles (translated as The Incredibles in Taiwan) released in 2004. After Big S passed away, Wang Weizhong watched the Chinese dubbed version of The Incredibles again in the dead of night (in the Taiwanese dubbed version, Wang Weizhong voiced Mr. Incredible and Big S voiced Elastigirl).
The article reads: "The Elastigirl, who retired with her child, was voiced by the then unmarried Big S. Her voice in the animation is sweet and full, with full expressions. Every word she says to her child is full of love and maternal authority, just like she is always the pillar of the family outside the play, upholding a sense of justice and insisting on doing the right thing in her heart."
"Looking back now, the image of a superwoman accompanying her children and loved ones through daily life, staying together for life, and occasionally taking the whole family out to fight crime, is probably the ordinary life that Big S longs for. Close your eyes and listen carefully to her voice preserved in the film, which is particularly sincere and touching."

Wang Weizhong mentioned that every artist has a photogenic side, "Xiyuan is in a particularly good state. When she turns her head sideways with a smile on her lips, she seems to glow. We only recently saw her looking back with energy and smile, full of happiness and joy. We have known each other for nearly 30 years, and that day was the most beautiful and happiest day of her life in my memory."
At the end of the article, Wang Weizhong wrote: "Xiyuan is gone, just like everyone else in the world, dust to dust, earth to earth. I will leave the day to thoughts and the night to dreams. Welcome to dream and talk about your wild fantasies in your little universe."
In January this year, Big S and her husband attended the homecoming banquet of Wang Weizhong's eldest daughter. During the New Year, Xu Xiyuan passed away due to influenza and pneumonia at the age of 48.
