The 2025 F1 Chinese Grand Prix will be held in Shanghai soon. In order to further promote the Shanghai racing culture brand, the Shanghai Film Distribution and Exhibition Industry Association and Five Star Sports Media Co., Ltd. jointly organized "Speed and Dream: Shanghai Racing Film Week" to promote the linkage of cultural tourism, business and sports exhibitions and create a multicultural feast.
On the evening of March 18, the opening ceremony of "Speed and Dream: Shanghai Racing Film Week" was held. Five Star Sports chief host and F1 event commentator Li Bing, China's first F1 test driver Ma Qinghua and "Flying Life" producer and Shanghai Film Group Deputy General Manager Chen Qingyi and other guests had in-depth discussions on the topic of "Racing + Movies", sharing their wonderful stories and unique insights in the fields of racing and movies.
Ma Qinghua spoke highly of "Speeding Life" directed by Han Han from the perspective of a professional racer, and said that he is a loyal fan of the film, "Every time I go out to compete, I will watch this film repeatedly on the plane."

As a mature film genre, racing movies have always had a large audience base, and racing scenes are a standard feature of all kinds of blockbusters. Overseas, from the "Fast and Furious" series to "Ford v Ferrari" and "Cars", racing movies suitable for different age groups have accompanied the growth of generations of audiences. In China, in recent years, the "Speeding Life" series directed by racing driver Han Han has been remarkable both in terms of box office performance and exploration of the industrial level of this genre.
During this racing film week, three racing-themed movies, "Surfing the Waves", "Surfing Life" and "Surfing Life 2", will be screened for free to the audience. During the screening period, the three screening theaters will simultaneously set up related racing culture peripherals to enrich the audience's viewing experience.

The cinemas for this film festival are specially selected from well-known cinemas such as Shanghai Grand Cinema, Peace Cinema, Cathay Cinema, etc. in the core business districts of Nanjing Road and Huaihai Middle Road. Through the public recruitment of Five Star Sports WeChat Official Account, more movie fans and car fans have the opportunity to participate in this event for free and experience the unique charm of the combination of racing and movies.
In addition, this film festival will also be linked with the F1 China Grand Prix and Shanghai Automotive Culture Festival held at the same time, and the "My Jiading·Car and Film Dreams-Themed Film Screening Week" event will be widely carried out at four mobile screening locations such as Anting Old Street in Jiading District from March 21 to 28. The event will be screened outdoors for charity, with a total of 7 screenings.
As movie screenings become increasingly segmented and vertical, the re-screening of old films such as "Speeding Life" has also given audiences who love racing a reason to gather offline.
Facing this group of audiences with different viewing demands from those during the Spring Festival, Chen Qingyi, the producer of "Speeding Life" and deputy general manager of Shanghai Film Group, talked about the regrets in the publicity and promotion during the release of the film. "Maybe most of the audience's attention was on Shen Teng when they first watched "Speeding Life", but in fact the biggest protagonist of this movie is racing." Chen Qingyi said, "This is the first racing movie in China shot with heavy industrial techniques. It was shot on the spot according to the logic of racing, and used images to describe the excitement that racing brings to everyone. In order to pursue authenticity, Han Han made a bold attempt."
An audience member asked a professional racer whether the movie "Speeding Life" contained any elements of artistic exaggeration. Ma Qinghua revealed that the racing scenes were actually shot very realistically. The more exaggerated part was that they had to build a car that could handle the complex road conditions of the race in just one month of preparation. "This is impossible in reality."
Chen Qingyi sighed about the cooperation between film and racing, "I am very lucky to be a Shanghai citizen". "Shanghai has a racing track and an international film festival. In just five years, Shanghai has been ahead of the rest of the country in both racing and film. Culture and events need soil to cultivate fans."
