In the youth of every generation, there are always some memorable scenes of watching movies with classmates. In the future, more and more fresh and excellent movies will enter the campus and become part of the Shanghai campus curriculum.
On April 2, the launch meeting of Shanghai’s “Movies in Campus” project was held at the Changxing Branch of Shanghai Experimental Primary School.

“Light and shadow carry dreams, and excellent works nurture children’s hearts”
The launch meeting was themed "Light and shadow carry dreams, and excellent works nurture children's hearts". It aims to thoroughly implement the spirit of the document "Guiding Opinions of the Ministry of Education and the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee on Strengthening Film and Television Education in Primary and Secondary Schools" , further strengthen film and television education in primary and secondary schools, give full play to the positive role of excellent films in the all-round development of primary and secondary school students' morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, and promote the implementation of the "Movies in Campus" project in Chongming.
As an important measure to implement the three-year action plan of "City of Film", "Movies in Campus" will effectively enrich the "capillaries" of film screenings by improving the level of public welfare screenings and complementing commercial screenings, further cultivating potential audiences for future films.
It is reported that the pilot schools in various districts of Shanghai will carefully select a "campus film list" to provide a communication and display platform for students through the construction of three-dimensional film aesthetic education courses, the introduction of resources from all parties, and the development of various youth activities based on film content, to help cultural inheritance and aesthetic education.
At present, a total of 22 primary and secondary schools covering 11 towns in Chongming District have installed the "Movies in Campus" professional equipment and put it into use. It is estimated that in the next five years, more than 330,000 teachers and students will be able to watch 1,650 movies with legal copyright, diverse types and strong effectiveness without leaving the campus.
In the future, Shanghai's districts will combine local characteristics, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and innovate cooperation models to replicate and promote the "Movies on Campus" work experience, attract more students to love and think about movies, and create a good atmosphere for educating people with culture.
In the previous pilot work, Shanghai Experimental Primary School Changxing Branch included film and television education in the five-education integration development plan, and built a film viewing course system with distinct themes such as "Lei Feng", "I am a Mountain", and "A Red Scarf". In addition, the "Micro Film Creation Workshop" was established, and teachers and students worked together to create more than ten micro film and television works such as "China in Intangible Cultural Heritage" and "Blackboard Wiping Superpower".
After the launching ceremony, nearly 200 teachers and students from Shanghai Experimental Primary School Changxing Branch watched the movie "Zhu Tong Lost His Superpowers in the Third Grade" together. The film tells the growth story from a childlike perspective, leading the children to feel the power of courage, friendship and dreams.
