According to reports from multiple Japanese media outlets, Hirosue Ryoko, a famous actress and singer who has appeared in films and TV series such as "Poem of the End of the Century," "The Railway Man," and "Departures," was arrested by police in the early hours of April 8, local time, for attacking a nurse in a hospital.
The incident occurred at 0:20 am in a hospital in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture. A female nurse was kicked, hit and scratched by a female patient, causing minor injuries. The hospital reported the case, and the Kakegawa Police Station immediately arrested the woman who called herself "Hirosu Ryoko" on suspicion of injury. According to local media reports, the woman and her male agent collided with a trailer in the Kakegawa parking area of the Shin-Tomei Expressway on the evening of April 7, and were subsequently sent to the Shimada City hospital, while her agent was sent to a different hospital.
The local police have not yet made a statement on the identity of the suspect. However, some local media have judged based on the appearance of the suspect that it should be the actress Hirosue Ryoko herself.

She then admitted to cheating on her husband and suspended related entertainment activities. After the divorce, Hirosue Ryoko parted ways with FlaMme, the agency she had worked with for 26 years, in February 2024 and chose to start her own business. She only recently restarted her acting career.
