The fragrance of wormwood on the Dragon Boat Festival contains the wisdom of the ancients to "ward off disasters and pray for blessings", just like the predictive philosophy hidden in the cracks of the tortoise shell of the Chinese character "兆"; on the innocent drawing paper of Children's Day, the pure blank space of the word "白" naturally resonates with the children's imaginary world, outlining the poetic outline of Chinese aesthetics. The story of Chinese characters is always to be continued.

"Words" from Meeting You Season 3 poster
As a documentary meticulously created by China Central Radio and Television, the first two seasons of "Chinese Characters from Meeting You" used 50 Chinese characters to explore the multiple dimensions of Chinese character civilization and connect the "Chinese character universe" that connects the past and the present. The third season consists of 20 episodes, each 5 minutes long, and will be broadcast on CCTV-9 every day at 19:50 from May 29 to June 2.
The opening five episodes of "Philosophy" use the five words "qi, zhao, xuan, bai, nian" as clues, decoding the vigorous vitality of Chinese characters after thousands of years from a philosophical perspective, witnessing that Chinese characters came from the pious worship of the auspicious "white" by the ancestors of the Shang Dynasty, grew in the farming memory of the word "nian" carrying grains, sublimated in the philosophical thinking of "qi" transforming yin and yang, and finally became the cultural gene that activates philosophical thinking in the modern context.

Do you remember the wonderful interpretation of the word "自" (self) as a nose in the first two seasons? When we point to our noses and say "自", we are actually continuing the vivid expression of oracle bone inscriptions three thousand years ago. From the solemn sacrifice of "ding" to the crossing of seas and oceans of "zhou", from the global trade of "silk" to the geographical totem of "mountain", the most touching thing about "Zi" from Meeting You is not only the density of knowledge, but also the warmth of civilization.
The third season continues this creative core, using philosophy, architecture, textiles, and animals as a mirror, making each Chinese character a slice that reflects the texture of civilization. In a time where fast and slow interweave, and ancient and modern times blend, we explore the roots of Chinese civilization.
