Every Shanghai International Film Festival's pre-screening and post-screening meet-and-greet sessions attract a large number of fans and audiences. This year, the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival has specially planned about 100 audience meet-and-greet sessions, covering most of the screening units, and will be held intensively in many screening theaters.
The first to appear at this year's audience meeting is the famous director Wu Siyuan. On June 13, he will appear in Hall SHO-3 of Shanghai Cinema City and recall this close friend with Chen Yifei's posthumous work "The Barber". This year marks the 20th anniversary of Chen Yifei's death. The Shanghai International Film Festival has specially planned the "SIFF Rhapsody - Great Artist Chen Yifei" unit to commemorate this great artist. In 2005, he passed away unexpectedly before finishing the film "The Barber", which he valued very much. Wu Siyuan took over the director's baton to help his friend realize his dream.

Another classic work by director Peter Chan of the opening film Mystery in the Sauce Garden, The Warlords, will have a special screening in Hall 1 of the Shanghai Grand Cinema on June 16, in conjunction with the "Film School" - Director Peter Chan will share his ideas and thoughts on film creation with the audience after the screening.

Director Cao Baoping, who has a deep connection with the Golden Goblet Awards, has once again been shortlisted for the Golden Goblet Awards' main competition unit with his new film "The Runaway". He will meet the audience at Hall SHO-3 of Shanghai Film City with his creative team on June 17. He has been shortlisted for the Golden Goblet Awards for two consecutive years with "The Sun Also Rids My Heart" and "The Murderer", and has created a record of creating four "Best Actor" awards with two films. It is worth looking forward to what kind of performance breakthrough Guo Qilin will present as the leading actor this time.

The Japanese film "National Treasure", which has just been transferred to Shanghai from the Cannes Film Festival, is a blockbuster work in the hearts of many movie fans. Director Lee Sang-il will tell the legend of "a gangster's son eventually becoming the first female Kabuki actor, a national treasure of Japan" in Hall 1 of Shanghai Grand Cinema on June 18.

The Golden Goblet Awards Asian Newcomer Unit is rich in outstanding creators, and this year is no exception. From June 19th to 21st, Shanghai Cinema SHO-2 Hall will successively welcome several crews from this unit - Fang Liang, director of "Go to the Sea", will bring Huang Xufeng, Shi Pengyuan, He Yuhe, Xue Xuchun, Li Sitong, Qiu Yujie, director of "7 Days", will bring Yin Lu, Jiang Qiming, Zhang Yifan, and Cheng Liang, director of "Against the Wind", will bring many leading actors to the show, allowing the audience to feel the surge of new forces.
