In order to implement Xi Jinping's cultural thoughts and promote the creation and dissemination of high-quality radio, television and online audio-visual products, the State Administration of Radio and Television recently issued and implemented the "Several Measures to Further Enrich Large-Screen Television Content and Promote the Supply of Radio, Television and Audio-Visual Content" based on extensive consultation.
The "Several Measures" emphasize the need to implement multiple measures to strengthen content development and increase the supply of high-quality radio, television, and audio-visual content. These include implementing a "Content Renewal Plan" to enhance content innovation; improving policies governing the number of TV series and the duration of seasonal broadcasts; improving TV series content review processes, optimizing mechanisms, and increasing efficiency; strengthening the production, broadcast, and promotion of ultra-high-definition programming; bolstering the creation of high-quality documentaries and animated films; encouraging and supporting the broadcast of outstanding short-form dramas; and promoting the introduction and broadcast of outstanding overseas programs. Furthermore, relevant laws, regulations, and systems will be strengthened to enhance copyright protection.
The State Administration of Radio and Television will organize, guide and coordinate the provincial (autonomous region, municipal) radio and television bureaus, radio and television stations, production organizations, online audio-visual platforms, the China Radio and Television Social Organization Federation, the China Television Drama Production Industry Association, the China Network Audiovisual Program Service Association and other units to implement the various tasks of the "Several Measures" to achieve more high-quality products, wider dissemination, and a better environment to better meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people.
