Hui Siu-hung's family issued an obituary stating that the funeral will be simple and all condolence money will be donated to the "Children's Cancer Foundation".

On October 28, actor Hui Siu-hung passed away in Hong Kong due to organ failure caused by cancer at the age of 76.

On October 31, Hui Siu-hung's family issued an obituary, stating that a funeral hall would be set up on November 17 for the ceremony, and the funeral would take place on November 18. The obituary also stated: "In accordance with our late husband's wishes, the family will keep the funeral simple and, with the intention of doing good, will donate all the condolence money received to the 'Children's Cancer Foundation,' hoping to turn grief into care and ignite new hope for young lives."
