The interview pointed out that the online short drama "Boss, Your Daughter Was Bullied by the Mother-in-law's Family" produced by Jiuzhou Culture has vulgar plots, lines, pictures, plots, etc. involving the use of cruel criminal means to cause bad consequences, deliberately creating and exaggerating the conflicts between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, men and women, spreading remarks that violate public order and good customs, exaggerating bloody violence and other multiple violations. In response to the problems in the drama, the Network Audiovisual Department of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television required the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism to implement local management responsibilities and take disposal measures against Jiuzhou Culture. The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism imposed administrative penalties on Jiuzhou Culture on June 5, instructing it to remove the illegal short dramas from the entire network and permanently seal them. Starting from today, the Xingya Short Drama app under Jiuzhou Culture will be suspended from updating dramas for one week, and self-examination and cleaning of the entire network content will be carried out.

The interview required Jiuzhou Culture to deeply reflect on and strictly abide by the administrative penalties imposed on it by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, conscientiously implement the relevant regulations of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television on the management of online short dramas, improve the company's mechanisms in process control and content review, and resolutely prevent similar incidents. Tencent, Douyin, Kuaishou, Bilibili and other platforms should fulfill their main platform responsibilities, control the content, orientation, drama titles, broadcasting and other checkpoints, strictly abide by the new regulations on short dramas that cannot be disseminated online without filing, improve the content review system, consciously resist bad content, jointly maintain the health and prosperity of the online audio-visual market, and jointly create a clear and positive online audio-visual space.

Jiuzhou Culture stated that this incident exposed serious deficiencies in the company's process control and content review.
