On March 17, during the Hong Kong International Film and Television Exhibition (FILMART), the "Co-creation, Sharing, and Integrating Vision" International Communication Forum was held. The forum focused on three major topics: content innovation, emerging formats, and technology empowerment. It attracted many Chinese and foreign industry representatives and experts to participate and exchange views on topics such as how audiovisual works can achieve cultural empathy and resonance, the current development status and future direction of short dramas, and the support of AI for international communication.
Yan Ni, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the State Administration of Radio and Television, pointed out in her speech that with the full implementation of the Agreement II on Amendments to the Agreement on Trade in Services under the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, the mainland and Hong Kong radio, television and audio-visual industries have ushered in more opportunities for cooperation. She hopes to work together with Hong Kong counterparts to further promote the integrated development of the mainland and Hong Kong audio-visual industries.
Luo Yi, member of the Party Leadership Group, deputy director and first-level inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, mentioned in his speech that the film and television cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong will achieve new breakthroughs in 2024. "Flowers", the first Shanghai-themed TV series directed by Wong Kar-wai, was a great success and won many important awards such as the Magnolia Award and the Golden Eagle Award; the Shanghai-themed TV series "Cheng Huan Ji", adapted from the novel of the same name by the famous Hong Kong writer Yi Shu, also aroused enthusiastic response after its broadcast, successfully realizing the cross-regional film and television transformation of classic literary IP. These two works have established a new model of cooperation of "Xiangjiang and Huangpu River, confluence and linkage" by deeply integrating the creative resources of the two cities of Shanghai and Hong Kong, showing the huge potential and vitality of the film and television cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong. We look forward to promoting broader, higher-level and deeper cooperation between the film and television industries in Shanghai and Hong Kong in the future, and jointly composing a more exciting "Twin Cities Story".

The forum invited many experts to share and discuss the three major topics of content innovation, emerging business models, and technological empowerment.
The event also held a ceremony to present the documentary "Panda Adventure" to RTHK for broadcast. The film was jointly produced by Sichuan Radio and Television and Beijing Radio and Television. It is the first time that the national treasure giant panda's life course, ecological protection and unique status in international exchanges are comprehensively and systematically sorted out and deeply interpreted, filling the gap in the field of giant panda documentary. The film will be broadcast on RTHK Channel 31 in April 2025.
The "Co-creation, Sharing and Integration of Vision" International Communication Forum was hosted by the International Cooperation Department of the State Administration of Radio and Television, co-organized by the Shanghai Radio and Television Bureau, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and the China Radio and Television Hong Kong News Agency, and hosted by the China (Zhejiang) Film and Television Industry International Cooperation Zone, a national cultural export base. Nearly 300 representatives from the Chinese and foreign industries attended the forum.
