Directed by Mai Guanzhi and starring Zhang Wanyi and Ren Min, along with Sha Sha, Wu Yuheng, Dong Siyi, and Hu Jiaxin, the historical drama Silk Road to Tranquility will premiere on October 10 on Hunan TV, Tencent Video, and Mango TV.

Based on the novel The Primer for a First Assistant by Wen Tan, the story follows the often-overlooked yet talented "humble son" Luo Shenyuan (played by Zhang Wanyi) and a "legitimate young lady" Luo Yining (played by Ren Min) who yearns for freedom and independence. Their journey evolves from mutual exploitation to genuine feelings, as they navigate various challenges together and ultimately achieve a peaceful and fulfilling life.

This marks Zhang Wanyi's third historical drama of the year, following Longing for the Future 2 and The Liuzhou Chronicles. Additionally, he recently wrapped up filming the historical drama Like Brocade with Jing Tian in September.

For Ren Min, Silk Road to Tranquility is her second historical drama this year, following The Young Master of Dali Temple.
