On March 9, the ancient costume emotional drama "Like Brocade" officially landed on Dragon TV, following the previous hit drama "Six Sisters". "Like Brocade" is adapted from the novel of the same name by Dong Tian De Liu Ye. The love story and fate contest between the fourth girl Jiang Si (played by Jing Tian) and the seventh prince Yu Jin (played by Zhang Wanyi) in the Dongping Bo Mansion became the core attraction.

After Jiang Si "restarted her life", she was no longer a weak woman at the mercy of fate, but changed her fate with her extraordinary wisdom and courage. In this process, she and Yu Jin worked together to crack family conspiracies, court intrigues, and fateful prophecies. Unlike traditional love stories, the two strong CPs in the play broke the traditional dependent relationship. They not only had the pleasure of working together to break the deadlock, but also showed strong strength and tacit understanding. This unique character relationship setting and emotional expression brought a brand new viewing experience to the audience.

The plot structure of "Like Brocade" not only focuses on the emotional entanglement between the male and female protagonists, but also uses the three major families of Jiang, Cui, and Rongyang as important clues to carefully depict a vivid picture of ancient social life. The main story line is cleverly connected through a series of unit cases such as the "Changxing Hou Murder Case" and the "Jiang Zhan Falling into the Water Case". While showing the protagonist's wisdom in breaking the game, the fate of the supporting characters is also closely linked to the times. Each supporting role is not a simple background board. Their fates rise and fall in the tide of the times, and together present a grand pattern of "home and country are the same". This shaping of group characters and the display of family and country feelings make the whole plot more rich and three-dimensional, making the audience seem to be in that ever-changing ancient society.

It is worth mentioning that "Like Brocade" was carefully produced. Art director Duan Yuanhe carefully built the garden landscape with reference to the artistic conception of ancient paintings. Every blade of grass, every brick and every tile fully demonstrates the elegance and charm of Song Dynasty aesthetics, making the audience seem to travel through time and space and enter the poetic world of the Song Dynasty. Modeling director Hou Yunyi cleverly incorporates modern aesthetics on the basis of historical costumes, which not only retains the shape characteristics of ancient costumes, but also makes them more in line with the aesthetic needs of contemporary audiences. Each set of costumes has become a vivid embodiment of the character and identity of the characters in the play. Etiquette director Zhang Xiaolong cleverly integrates the five ceremonies of auspiciousness, good fortune, military, guest, and evil into the details of the plot. From daily greetings and bows to the ritual process of important occasions, they strictly follow the ancient etiquette norms to make the plot more historically realistic.
It is reported that from costumes to etiquette details, "Like Brocade" has been meticulously crafted to show the high-end texture of "ancient style and modern rhyme". In addition, the wonderful performances of powerful actors such as Guo Tao, Huang Yi, and Ma Su, who have given the characters fresh vitality with their superb acting skills, jointly constructed a rich and vivid ancient society, bringing an immersive viewing experience to the audience.
